JAMUGURIHAT: A new body of Naduar retired teachers-employees association was formed in a public meeting held at Bapuji Bhawan here with Nitumani Bora in the chair on Wednesday. Naduar MLA Padma Hazarika attended the programme as a chief guest. Addressing the session, MLA Hazarika spoke about the need of an organization for all employees to share their hopes and aspirations and to undertake any social venture in unity. He also said that age surrendered in front of time and many times, a retired employee felt lonely and depressed. But if an organization like Naduar retired teachers-employees association adopts yearlong activities and keeps busy then the retired employees would feel active and energetic, he said.
More than a hundred retired teachers-employees of the greater Naduar area assembled in the meeting. At the end of the meeting, a new body of the association was formed with Naduar MLA Padma Hazarika as a Chief Advisor, Nitumani Bora as President, Baneswar Bora as Working President, Moti Kumar Newar, Abani Barmudoi, Krishna Kanta Talukdar, Mahendra Barua, Suren Saikia, Diganta Bhuyan, and Kunu Devi as vice-presidents, Pradumnna Hazarika and Jyoti Bhattacharya as chief secretaries, and Bhabindra Bhuyan, Rajib Sarma, Bijay Singha Bora, Lalan Orang, Mallika Bhuyan, and Subrat Barua as secretaries besides 51 executive members.
