Nagaon Paper Mill employee Kolimon Basumatary dies

JAGIROAD: One more employee of Nagaon Paper Mill (NPM) under the Hindustan Paper Corporation died of prolonged illness. Kolimon Basumatary (52) died on Monday following cardiac disorder. He was suffering from the disease for the last couple of years. The employees of the NPM was not getting their salary for the last 64 months. The Government declared closure of both Cachar and Nagaon Paper Mills and assured of the payment of salary within a stipulated time. So far 105 employees have died of financial hardship.
