Nagaon police arrested gang of dacoits along with arms and ammunition

NAGAON: Nagaon police arrested a gang of dacoits along with arms and ammunition from NH 36 road on Saturday night. Sources claimed that police recovered one 7.65 MM pistol, two rounds live ammunition, five mobile handsets and a car bearing registration number AS 02AM 2024 from their possessions.

According to sources, the arrested dacoits have been identified as Inamul Haque, Rokibul Hussain, Jehirul Chaudhary, Ahidul Islam and Hibjur Rahman. Sources said that the gang of dacoits were on their way in a private car with a plan to carry out a robbery somewhere in Hojai from Chalchali area in Nagaon town while police intercepted them.
