Nakachari panchyat President Kalinath Bora sent to jail

JORHAT: President of Na-Kachari panchayat No. 15, Kalinath Bora was sent to jail after he was booked under section 420, 421/33 under IPC for alleged misappropriation of panchayat fund meant for development in block areas under Madhya Nakachari Block. Kalinath Bora was picked up by Mariani Police following complaint filed by former president of Nakachari gaon panchayat Dalimi Gogoi for alleged gross misappropriation of public fund. He was produced before the subdivisional judicial magistrate court at Titabor and was sent to Jorhat Central Jail on Saturday evening, said police sources.
