Namghar Samnnay Mancha protest against CAA in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: The Namghar Samnnay Mancha on Saturday staged a protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 in Golaghat town near the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Golaghat.

The members of the Namghar Samannay Mancha raised their voice against the controversial Act by singing devotional songs and playing Assamese musical instruments like dhoba, khul, taal and nagara.

The members of Namghar Samannay Mancha said that they appealed to the Assam Government to scrap the CAA. The Namghar Samnnay Mancha strongly opposed CAA and demanded the Assam Government to stand against the CAA.

On the other hand, All Assam High School Teachers’ Association also staged a protest against the CAA in Golaghat town. The teacher’s body strongly opposed the CAA and slammed the Centre and State Government for trying to settle illegal Hindu immigrants in Assam.
