National School of Drama (NSD) Theatre Festival From February 4

Dibrugarh: National School of Drama, in collaboration with India Club Theatrical Institution, Dibrugarh, would be organizing the 20th Bharat Rang Mahotsav’s Parallel Theatre Festival from February 4-10 at India Club here.

At the inaugural ceremony, scheduled to be held on February 4 at 6 in the evening, former president of Axom Sahitya Sabha and noted litterateur, Dr Nagen Saikia would be the chief guest. Eminent Theatre Personality, Pranjal Saikia and Vice-Chancellor, Dibrugarh University, Dr Ranjit Tamuli would grace the occasion as its guests of honour. The ceremony would be presided over by Associate Professor of National School of Drama, Abdul Lateef Khatana. A play named Bhou is slated to be performed after the inauguration ceremony. The play, which is in Assamese, and written and directed by Pranjal K Saikia, would be performed by Team Infinity of Guwahati. The duration of the play would be 1 hour 40 minutes.
