TANGLA: Along with other parts of the nation, the National Sports Day to mark the 117th birthday anniversary of Hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand was organized at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Udalguri on Monday where several activities were organized to inculcate the feeling of true sportsmanship among the children and to enhance their physical and social activities. Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Harisinga MCLA, Sanjay Swargiary focused on the benefits of different sports and how the aspiring youth's energy can be utilized in re-constructing a nation and its glory on the international front. He further highlighted that sports can develop multiple qualities like a sense of togetherness, leadership skills ,stamina , planning, patriotism and teamwork.
