JORHAT: A national webinar on "National Education Policy 2020, Multidisciplinary Approach and Holistic Education in Agriculture and Allied Sciences" was organized by College of Community Science, Assam Agricultural University. It was sponsored by National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP) AAU. Dr. Ruplekha Borah, Dean, College of Community Science, AAU, chaired the webinar and welcomed the guests and participants. Dr Pranati Das, Head ,Dept of Food Science and Nutrition coordinated the programme.

Patron and chief guest, Vice Chancellor, AAU, Dr. Bidyut Chandan Deka, in his inaugural address highlighted the possibilities of a better education system in Agriculture and allied sciences in the light of goals and vision of NEP 2020.National Education Policy , National Agricultural Higher Education Project ,ICAR,

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. R.C. Agrawal, Deputy Director General (Education), ICAR, New Delhi. He elaborated on implementation of NEP 2020 in Higher Agricultural Education system to be at par with global standards. "The overall higher education sector aims to be an integrated higher education system including professional and vocational education," Dr Agrawal said.

Dr, Ruplekha Borah ,chairman of the webinar wrapped up the webinar by highlighting the significant points delivered by the speakers to draw a roadmap for implementation of National Education Policy in higher education with special reference to Agriculture and allied sciences. Dr. Pranati Das, Coordinator offered vote of thanks at the end of the webinar, stated a press release.
