NCHAC CEM Debolal Gorlosa flags off Gaon Sampark Abhiyan in Dima Hasao

HAFLONG: The Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa flagged off the Gaon Sampark Abhiyan (Rath Yatra) in the presence of a huge gathering of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, workers and well-wishers on Sunday at Harangajao in Dima Hasao.

Commemorating the 75th year of India's Independence by celebrating the 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav', the Gaon Sampark Abhiyan organized by the Bharatiya Janata Scheduled Caste Morcha, Harangajao Mandol, started from Harangajao on Sunday. The Abhiyan will cross through the main towns and junctions of Dima Hasao until it reaches its final destination – Langting.

The programme started with offering of floral tribute to the portrait of Bharatmata, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, B N Ambedkar and Deen Dayal Upadhyay by the leaders and guests.

In this connection, a well-attended public meeting was held at the Public School Playground and was attended by Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa, chairperson Ranu Langthasa, BJP president, Dhonpai Thaosen, and other dignitaries. All the speakers dwelt at length on how the BJP governments at the Centre, State and in the Council had been working for the betterment of the nation and its people with dedication.
