NCHAC CEM Debolal Gorlosa lays foundation stones for development schemes

HAFLONG: N C Hills Autonomous Council Chief Executive Member Debolal Gorlosa laid foundation stones for a slew of development schemes at Fiangpui near Haflong, district headquarter of Dima Hasao, in presence of Ranu Langthasa, chairperson, Lalremsiama Darnei, EM, and others on Thursday.

Foundation stone was laid for schemes like - construction of Road from Debarai to Bageter Tri-junction to be implemented under SOPD 2022-23; construction of Biate Devanpui Hall at Fiangpui; and work-improvement of road from Fiangpui Tri-junction to Fiangpui Higher Secondary School with retaining wall and Hume pipe culvert.

This was followed by the inauguration of the newly-constructed building of Fiangpui Higher Secondary School by Debolal Gorlosa, in presence of minister Nandita Gorlosa, Ranu Langthasa, and other dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering,CEM Debolal Gorlosa explained how the present council team was committed to the overall development of the district and its people while giving priority to roads, education, medical and health, water supply and power supply. He said every citizen had the right to education therefore; they are committed to facilitating imparting education to each and every citizen. Lauding the people of Fiangui, he said they are very sincere and educated people.

Minister Gorlosa also stressed the importance of education and providing proper facilities to the students so that the students get proper education and can establish themselves in the society. During the inauguration programme, encyclopedias were distributed to the ME schools.
