NCHAC CEM Debolal Gorlosa praises Assam Government for upgrading high schools

HAFLONG: The Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa appreciated the Assam Government led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for upgrading several High Schools to Higher Secondary schools in Dima Hasao.
In a Facebook post, CEM Gorlosa said, "Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare it today." Following the National Education Policy 2020 and the Assam Government's decision to upgrade High Schools to Higher Secondary schools, Dima Hasao's education sector got a major boost as till now six High Schools have been upgraded to Higher Secondary.
He said that this decision would have a positive impact on their society as earlier students of Dima Hasao, after passing matriculation, had to either move to Haflong, Maibang or Umrangso for higher secondary education but now they could get access to higher education in areas nearer to their homes, thereby reducing financial burden on their parents.
The schools which have been upgraded are Diyungbra High School, Langting High School, Nobdilangting High School, Public English High School, Harangajao, Fiangpui High School and Hatikhali High School.
