NDFB (S) rebel nabbed by Chirang Army

Bongaigaon: Continuing the relentless operation being conducted against National Democratic Front of Bodoland (S), a successful joint operation was conducted on the night of October 27-October 28 by Chirang Army and Chirang Police resulting in the apprehension of a hardcore terrorist - Danswrang Brahma alias B. Dahar.

As per sources, B. Dahar is a 40 batch cadre of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (S) and was active since 2013. He was responsible for multiple extortions and kidnapping activities in Chirang and Kokrajhar districts and was also involved in a firing incident involving Assam Police on June 26, 2018. Recently, he was involved in recruiting new cadres for training from Chirang.

Based on specific input by intelligence agencies, the search operation was launched by Army and Police near Dadgiri. At night, the movement of the suspected individual was observed and he was nabbed. On searching his belonging, a factory-made pistol, live ammunition and grenade were recovered.
