SARUPATHAR: The hydro-electrical power project of NEEPCO has informed the district administration of Golaghat vide letter no. NEEPCO/DHEP/D&SD/Sr.Mgr©/T-27/2019-20/262 that the reservoir water level has increased due to heavy rainfall in the downstream catchment area of the Dayang dam.
The water level measured on October 28 at 6:00 hrs was at EI. 323.25 meters and at 15:00 hrs it was at EI.323.50 meters. “If the water level rises above 324.00 meters at Dayang dam then we will be compelled to open the four sluice radial gates to release an excess amount of water,” said the manager (c) of Dayang hydro-electrical plant at Wokha district in Nagaland.
