GUWAHATI: A student from Assam's South Salmara has shone in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021.

NEET has been conducted to select candidates for admission to medical colleges across the country.

Masidur Rahman, a student from an impoverished family in South Salmara has passed the NEET entrance exam. According to reports, Masidur has obtained 567 marks.

He has been struggling against poverty and lots of obstacles from his childhood. Masidur lost his father in 2006 who was killed by an extremist group.

Since then, he and his mother have been struggling against poverty and obstacles.

Masidur's accomplishment has delighted many in the area and inspired lots of students to face challenges.

His economically impoverished family has seen a ray of hope with the success. Many people and organizations in the area have felicitated the meritorious student and wished him a bright future.

Meanwhile, Mrinal Kutteri, a resident of Hyderabad has topped the NEET exam, the result of which was announced on Monday

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the result of the NEET 2021 exam, paving the way for admission to medical colleges across the country.

Mrinal has got 100 percent marks and secured all India rank No 1, followed by Tanmay Gupta from Delhi who secured the second position, and Karthika Nair at third place. Karthika is also top among female candidates.
