KOKRAJHAR: The North East Minority Students' Union (NEMSU) has accused several parties in BTC region, including BPF, GSP, UPPL and BJP, of violating lockdown protocol by carrying out election campaigning in the region.

Addressing a press conference held at Kokrajhar Press Club on Saturday, NEMSU president Badarul Islam said that although the council election had been postponed in the region due to spread of COVID-19, several parties were carrying on election campaigning by violating lockdown guidelines in the region.

He alleged that the BPF-ruled BTC administration could not fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the people in their 17-year rule. He urged the BTC administration to ensure equal distribution and proper welfare and development of all people in the region.
