NERIM Group of Institutions celebrates its 32nd foundation day

GUWAHATI: NERIM Group of Institutions celebrated its 32nd Foundation Day on Thursday. A glorious history marked with many celebrations, events, challenges, and successes is what the legacy of NERIM has been through these decades of existence. An academic home that is recognized for pioneering work in professional education has celebrated its 32nd Foundation Day in a style uniquely its own.

The events on this day ranged from adopting villages near Guwahati for development and education, to distributing flasks to roadside vendors, feeding stray dogs, visiting an old age home and cutting a cake, conducting a cleanliness drive in the nearby area, distributing NERIM bags and mugs to nearby banks and shopkeepers, coordinating an eye camp at the NERIM campus, distributing goodies to partner NGOs, and organizing a mental health awareness campaign. The list of activities is a celebration of the human spirit of care and sustenance, which NERIM has imbibed through the years of its existence in all forms and manners.

Beside these, the NERIM Group of Institutions has encouraged students to participate in events like creative writing and quiz, Sports activities like table tennis and badminton, chess, and carom were also part of the celebration on Foundation Day. This has been the result of NERIM's unstinted support for the creative arts and sports.

NERIM's celebration of this foundation day is a marked difference from the usual mode of celebration. With the hope that the message NERIM wishes to instill in all, i.e. to humanise the world by being an example of all that is worth value and appreciation, reaches the perception of the student community, parents, the general public, and everyone, it is distributed.It was a two-day event celebrated by all NERIM members with zeal and enthusiasm, stated a press release.
