New building of Bhellapara Chappell inaugurated in West Karbi Anglong

DONGKAMUKAM: Rev Paul Mattekat DD Bishop of Diphu on Thursday inaugurated and blessed the New Chappell named St Mary's Catholic Church of Bhellapara, West Karbi Anglong which was under Satgaon Parish.
At the same time, the church celebrated the golden jubilee of the establishment of Bhellapara Catholic Mandoli. (1971-2021). Soon after inauguration, there was a Holy Mass where the Bishop expressed joy and happiness for achieving the mission. He recalled the forefathers of the locality who took pain in establishing the church and Mondoli in the initial days.
The celebration programe was attended by Parish Priest of Gojapara, Goalpara District Rev. Fr Lucas Marak from Damra near Dudhnoi, Rev Fr Francis Xavier Lakra, Parish Priest of Sojong Dongkamukam Rev Fr CB John, Paris Priest Satgaon Rev Fr Gabriel Momin, Rev Fr CA John, Rev Fr Albert Thyrniang, Parish Council members, Sisters and over hundreds of believers of different congregations. Bishop also released a Garo quiz book named Quiz on Synod 2021-23 written by Fr Albert Thyrniang SDB.
