New CHD building of Legal Metrology inaugurated in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: The Executive Member of BTC, Ansumwi Khunggur Boro on Wednesday inaugurated the newly-built office building of Legal Metrology situated at Jwhwlao Dwimalu Road in Kokrajhar town. The building was built at a cost of Rs 29 lakh under the State-Owned Priority Development fund.

Talking to reporters, EM Ansumwi Khunggur Boro said the department concerned could not function properly due to lack of its own office building with sufficient accommodation. He said the department would be able to work properly in the new building with sufficient space and facilities.

Replying to queries on the ensuing BTC general election, Boro said he had no major opposition in his constituency as people from all communities were supporting BPF. He said the people of his constituency had witnessed a lot of development activities and more projects were coming up that included Agriculture College, Science and Technology Institute and Central University. He also said he was confident of winning in the ensuing election with a huge margin.
