

GUWAHATI: In another effort by N.F. Railway to provide the experience of better quality food to the railway travellers, a new Food Plaza was opened at Rangiya railway station recently. It was inaugurated by Sanjive Roy, General Manager, North East Frontier Railway in presence of senior railway officials from HQ and Rangiya Division apart from general public.
The Food Plaza at Rangiya was constructed under an initiative of IRCTC, is the 6th such commissioned Food Plaza in entire N.F. Railway. Other Food Plazas are functioning at Guwahati, Dimapur, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj and New Bongaigaon stations.
Rangiya is a very important junction station under N.F. Railway. Thousands of passengers regularly use this station for boarding and de-boarding trains. So this newly opened Food Plaza will be very much beneficial for passenger as they will be able to have freshly prepared snacks, meals and beverages at reasonable rates. Packaged food items will also be available for sell, a press release stated.
