New Principal Chief Conservator welcomed in Nagaon

NAGAON: The forest officials from Nagaon forest division as well as Dakshin Nagaon forest division, Hojai welcomed the new Principal Chief Conservator (PCC) and Head of forest forces, Mahendra Kumar Yadav. Due to the retirement of Dr Amit Sahai, PCCF and Head of forest forces on May 31, the State Government has appointed Mahendra Kumar Yadav, PCCF (Wildlife) in his place as the new PCCF and Head of forest forces.

While speaking to this correspondent, DFO Ganadeep Das said that Mahendra Kumar Yadav (IFS) played an important role in the eviction drives in the encroachment portions of Lumding reserve forest and also spearheaded the forest officials as well as other forest forces during the drive after camping at the reserve forest itself for over a week. He said that the department would get more mobilisation under his guidance.
