New Tinsukia Superintendent of Police Siladitya Chetia takes charge

TINSUKIA: Siladitya Chetia assumed the charge of Superintendent of Police of Tinsukia on Wednesday evening. He took over from Mugdha Jyoti Dev Mahanta who was transferred to Cachar district. Chetia, a 2009 batch of IPS officer, also served as a lecturer in the Department of English, Tinsukia College for a year in 2005 and as media person in Chennai before joining IPS. He joined Tinsukia at a time when the district is under the grip of economic blockade.
