DONGKAMUKAM: On Tuesday, 5 bags (50 kg) NFSA rice meant for poor families were found by conscious citizens of the Tumpreng area at Hojai Tumpreng road, barely half kilometre from Tumpreng bridge in Komorakatta forest reserve, while they were on their morning walks across the Kopili river.

The morning walker's, while interacting with mediapersons, said the possibility of FCI truckers and handymen supplying rice might have a motive to pick up the rice bags later.

"But their plan failed," passers-by said. They also suspected to have involvement of some dalals in it. Such incidents had occurred earlier too, but it didn't come to light, they further said. Therefore, the citizens requested the higher-ups to investigate the matter, and to punish the culprits.
