Large potholes on the 25-km long stretch of the highway from Dekapam to Demou-Gulai covering Dekapam, Bibari, Simen Chapori, Dipa, Demou areas under the subdivision have turned the condition of the highway very pathetic. The potholes on the highway have affected plying of all kinds of vehicle, be it heavy or light, and the deplorable condition of the highway has made people suffer a lot.
Notably, NH-15 plays a pivotal role from the communication point of view in North Assam covering four districts, viz- Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Biswanath and Sonitpur.
