Nine fresh COVID-19 positive cases detected in Hailakandi district | 2 Jul, 2020

HAILAKANDI: Nine fresh COVID-19 novel coronavirus positive cases have been detected in Hailakandi district on Wednesday, taking the total tally to 302, including two deaths. Health authorities here revealed that Shabuddin Mazumder, 28, Saharul Islam Barbhuiya, 22,

Deepak Mura, 20, Ruhul Amin Barbhuiya, 30, Dilwar Hussain Mazarbhuiya, 22, Gula Ahmed Barbhuiya, 21 and Mona Mura, 22, have all turned out to be positive.

Of the nine COVID-19 infected persons reported on Wednesday, five were under facility quarantine centre at JNV, one at DIET, two at Panchgram Town HS School and one at Joymongal HS School quarantine centre.

Two COVID-19 positive patients viz., Mangoli Rani Das, 53, and Foijul Haque Barbhuiya, 65, breathed their last at SMC&H.

206 persons on being cured have been released from hospitals. There are presently 94 active cases.

30 patients are undergoing treatment at SK Roy designated COVID-19 Civil Hospital, 21 at MG Model Hospital, 12 at SMC&H and 31 at Algapur Model Hospital.

Of the 8,349 swab samples taken so far, 6,716 turned out to be negative, as per health bulletin released on Wednesday evening. Results of 1,179 swab samples are awaited.

1,073 persons are under facility quarantine centres while 3,919 persons under home quarantine.
