Nine more COVID-19 patients admitted in FAAMCH, Barpeta

BARPETA: Total nine COVID-19 positive patients were admitted at Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH) on Tuesday from Bhawanipur Anchalik College quarantine centre.

They are Mahidul Islam (19), Amzad Ali (16), Nazrul Islam (19), Ariful Islam (16) of Jalakara, Naligaon village in Barpeta district; Akibul Mallik (17) of Khalguri village, Khongra in Barpeta district; Omar Faruk (20) of Bhogdiya village of Barpeta; Sahib Bhuyan (18) of Majdia, Barpeta; Amir Hamza (19) of Metuakuchi, Barpeta; and Mahidul Ali (29) of Salbari, Baksa district.

All of them had been were kept at Bhawanipur quarantine centre. They worked in a cloth industry in Ahmedabad and had returned to Barpeta on May 18 by bus and were quarantined at Bhawanipur Anchalik College. That bus carried all total 43 passengers.

Another COVID-19 positive patient, Rafiqul Bhuyan of Golibandha, Barpeta who had returned by train from Maharashtra, was brought to FAAMCH on Monday. Till date, all total 26 COVID-19 positive patients have been admitted at Barpeta's FAAMCH.
