Nine nutri-garden projects inaugurated in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: Keeping in view the theme for the Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2020 which was observed all across the country during the month of September, the District Social Welfare Office of Sonitpur has taken up various projects to set up 10 Nutri-Gardens under each of the eight ICDS projects in the district.

In this connection, Additional Deputy Commissioner Liza Talukdar inaugurated nine Nutri-Gardens at various AWCs under the four ICDS projects at Tezpur Urban, Gabharu, Balipara and Rangapara by planting a fruit and vegetable plant. The inauguration ceremony was also marked by an awareness meeting held to educate people about the importance the nutrition and benefits of a nutri-garden.
