No helmet, no fuel in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: In a move aimed at ensuring road safety, the Golaghat district administration launched ‘No helmet, no petrol’ campaign by issuing an order directing petrol pump owners not to sell fuel to motorcyclists who are not wearing helmets. The directives were issued recently to petrol pump owners. As per the order, two-wheeler riders must wear helmets or they will not be able to buy fuel at petrol pumps. This order strictly prohibits petrol pump owners from selling fuel to two-wheeler riders without helmets. Any petrol pump owner or worker found violating this rule will be punished.
