NALBARI: "No journalist seems to be under threat in Assam," said Piyush Hazarika, the State Minister of Water Resources, Information & Public Relations and Parliamentary Affairs after hoisting the National Flag in Nalbari on the 75th Independence Day. In an interaction with the journalists he said that ethics of journalism somewhere stumbles in Assam. He also added that government is planning to enlist news channels, portals and journalists shortly in a registered way.

The State Minister in his speech mentioned the strict implementation of the Cattle Preservation Act, 2021 and state border security, COVID vaccination, pitched embankments and success of different government schemes etc. The minister emphasized on security of cows and forming ten new battalions of commandos in Assam.
