DONGKAMUKAM: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, while addressing a workers' meeting here at BJP WKADC at Mouzadar gaon near Satgaon, West Karbi Anglong, said that there was no room for family politics in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

"No close families of CEM, EM or MP will get party tickets in the coming MAC election," he said and added, "One who dedicatedly works for the party and pledges to work for all communities will surely get tickets. Though we will win in 26 out of 26 constituencies in the election, a simple win will not satisfy me, I want you all to increase the margin."

BJP State president Bhabesh Kalita declared that this was the 11th district office of BJP inaugurated by the Chief Minister. In the meeting, he also emphasized building a mandal office in each of the 26 MAC constituencies. Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Dr Tuliram Ronghang also addressed the meeting.

Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated the three-storey building (including ground floor) of the BJP WKADC Office named Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhavan, built here at Mouzadar Arong near Satgaon, West Karbi Anglong.
