North East NCC Republic Day contingent hailed

The NCC Cadets of North Eastern Region received a grand welcome at Dibrugarh railway station, by NCC Group Headquarters Dibrugarh, on their return from New Delhi after participating in the Republic Day Parade, where they put up a sterling performance.

TEZPUR: The NCC Cadets of North Eastern Region received a grand welcome at Dibrugarh railway station, by NCC Group Headquarters Dibrugarh, on their return from New Delhi after participating in the Republic Day Parade, where they put up a sterling performance. They were received by Colonel Raja Maji, the Officiating Group Commander of Dibrugarh Group along with Colonel R Ramesh the CO of 10 Assam Battalion NCC, Dibrugarh, with other army personnel.

Major General Ananta Bhuyan, Sena Medal, the Additional Director General of the North Eastern Region, NCC Directorate, Shillong conveyed his appreciation and congratulations to all the members of the team for their stupendous performance at the 72nd Republic Day Celebrations, at New Delhi. The contingent under the leadership of Colonel RK Singh, put up a stellar performance and bagged the fourth position amongst sixteen contingents, adding a new chapter in the ever improving saga of the NCC Cadets from the North Eastern Region. It was indeed a great team effort wherein the Contingent garnered it's best ever overall position, stated a release.

The General Officer also complimented all the NCC Group Headquarters, for putting their best foot forward in grooming and training the cadets, enabling them to achieve this coveted position.
