North Kamrup Forest Division Seized Timber

RANGIA: In a massive operation by the North Kamrup Forest Division headed by Sani Deo Chowdhuri Divisional Forest officer, Rangia with the help of a forest protection group, valuable medicinal timber and sand-loaded trucks from Khairabari were seized in Rangia Police station under Kamrup District on Friday. According to the Forest Officer, the trucks were seized acting on tip off. The medicinal timber worth of Rs 25 lakhs was carried from Nagaland to Himachal Pradesh without any valid documents.
