Gossaigaon: The General Railway Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) on Friday visited various stations.
The GRM started his visit from Kamakhya Station followed by New-Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, Fakiragram, Chautra, Gossaigaon Hut, Kamakhaguri and Alipurduar Railway Stations. Sources stated that the GRM along with the various divisional managers inspected the stations, inaugurated many RPF quarters and newly-built buildings and planted trees. In Gossaigaon Hut railway station, the GRM and DRM faced public anger for not paying heed to their 30-year long demand for stoppage of trains like Kamrup Express and one South-based train. Later, few organizations of the subdivision even submitted a memorandum in regard to this.
Gossaigaon MLA Majendra Narzary, Gossaigaon Municipal chairman Dhruva Kr Brahma and many other dignitaries were present during the submission of the memorandum.
