Noted Assamese Singer Apurba Bezbaruah Passes Away

Guwahati: Noted Assamese singer Apurba Bezbaruah passed away on Wednesday after suffering a stroke attack.

He was admitted to the Dispur Polyclinic and Hospital in a critical condition after the stroke attack.

According to reports, at around 10 a.m. on Monday, the artist fell ill and fainted following which he was immediately rushed to the said hospital.

After completing a CT scan at the hospital, doctors informed his family that he had suffered a stroke attack. Ever since, he was admitted to the hospital, people wished speedy recovery, however, he couldn't survive.

His sudden death has saddened the people of the state as losing him is an irreparable loss to the cultural life of the state.

Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his grief over the death noted Assamese singer.
