Noted Sivasagar businessman and social worker Robindra Nath Bezbaruah passes away

SIVASAGAR: Noted businessman and a social worker of Sivasagar, Robindranath Bezbaruah, passed away at the Apollo Hospital, Guwahati on Thursday. Bezbaruah, who was popularly known as Bhulu, was a leading Assamese entrepreneur who ventured into hotel business in the 90s and established himself successfully. Bezbaruah, who was 72 at the time of his passing, left behind his wife, one son and a daughter. His mortal remains have been cremated at Thanamukh Smashan in Sivasagar on Friday. He was also associated with a number of socio-cultural organizations of the town.

Sibsagar Natya Samaj, Seujia Samaj Sangeet Mahavidylaya, Chaulung Syukafa Indoor Stadium management Committee, Sibsagar Press Club, Sivasagar District Journalists’ Association, Rongpur Press Club and Sivasagar Bezbaruah HS School and a host of various other organizations and individuals offered floral tributes and condoled the death of Bezbaruah.
