Nowgong College (autonomous) inaugurated mobile library

NAGAON: On occasion of the 99th birth anniversary of the noted Assamese litterateur, poet and academician - Sahityacharya Mohim Bora - Nowgong College (autonomous) inaugurated a mobile library in his name in the college premises on Wednesday.

The library was inaugurated by the college Principal, Dr Sarat Borkatoki at a function held to celebrate the 99th birth anniversary of the noted Assamese litterateur.

The programme was organized by the Department of Assamese in association with Sankardev Chora as well as the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college. Dr Ram Prasad Porel, Vice Principal of the college, chaired the programme while Dhanada Devi, Head of the Department of Assamese, anchored the entire programme. During the programme, the teachers and students of the college paid floral tribute to the statue of Mohim Bora in the college premises.

Following the inaugural of the library, it was brought to Bangthai near Bebejia and Dimou where the department concerned of the college distributed over 40 various books from the library among the readers of the locality.
