NRC neglects sacrifices of martyrs of Assam Movement: Pijush Hazarika

GOLAGHAT: Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Pijush Hazarika expressed his dissatisfaction over the NRC on Sunday when he reached Golaghat to inaugurate the Kachamari Model Hospital.

He said the sacrifices of the martyrs of the Assam Movement had been neglected by the NRC as this NRC could not provide safeguard to the indigenous people of Assam. MP Kamakhya Prasad Tassa, who accompanied Piyush Hazarika, also said that he was not satisfied with the NRC and that there was need for re-verification.

The minister inaugurated the Kachamari Model Hospital where former PWD minister and present MLA of Golaghat LAC, Ajanta Neog accompanied him.
