NRL organizes offsite disaster mock drill in Numaligarh

Numaligarh: On March 17 there will be a major leakage of LPG from the delivery pump of LPG mounded bullet. The leaked LPG will form a cloud and move towards eastern direction along with the wind crossing the boundary wall of the refinery. Then there will be a fire in some hutments near the Railway colony.

NRL sources have informed that this is nothing but part of a mock drill under the Refinery’s Offsite Disaster Management Programme (ODMP). This offsite disaster mock drill is the seventeenth in a row. Every year, as per the advice of the District Authority of Golaghat, NRL organizes such an exercise for offsite disaster mock drill to meet the requirement of MSIHC rule, 1989.
