BONGAIGAON: NTPC Bongaigaon organised a gram sabha at Dholmara village in Kokrajhar district as a part of the 'Vigilance Awareness Week'.

Its Village Community Development Council (VCDC), Dholmara Chairperson -- Hrishikesh Roy -- administered the 'Integrity Pledge' to about 80 persons in the presence of Sultan Rahman, Vice Chairman, VCDC, Dholmara and senior persons of the village development body.

The speakers also highlighted the role of participative vigilance and appreciated NTPC's role towards creating a vigilant environment and educating the masses for a vigilant society.

Posters depicting information on PIDPI (Public Interest Disclosure & Protection of Informers) were displayed to spread awareness in the village.

All the speakers explained the menace of corruption and the benefits of transparency, accountability, and integrity in life. The NTPC was represented by A. K. Chawla, AGM(HR), Shashi Shekhar, AGM (HR), Ujjwal Sarkar, CVO (NTPC), G.N.Chayingia, Manager (Law).
