KOKRAJHAR: The Akhil Bhartiya Kavi Sammelan in the wake of Hindi Fortnight was organized with an aim to promote the use of Hindi in daily office life, for the employees of NTPC, Bongaigaon and family members Saturday via Microsoft Teams (MS Teams).

A group of Hindi enthusiasts' and experts among employees from various stations of NTPC which included A.K Tripathi, NTPC Sipat, Sanjay Kr Gupta, NTPC Mouda, Arun Mishra, NTPC Lara, Brijendra Shukhla, NTPC Singrauli, Om Prakash, NTPC Farakka and Abhishek Srivastav, NTPC Bongaigaon shared their poetry on life, motivation, efforts of NTPC and positivity in the times of pandemic. Chief Guest of the occasion, Rakesh Kumar, CGM, Bongaigaon spoke on the importance of Hindi and how NTPC has been instrumental in promoting the use of Hindi in all its activities. Hindi has been a binding force among various cultures and in this pandemic, the language has brought a feeling of warmth and closeness among its employees and family members in NTPC, he added.

Earlier, Anil Kumar Chawla, AGM (HR), Bongaigaon welcomed the chief guest, speakers, participants and spoke on this one of its kind Hindi Sammelan organized through MS Teams by NTPC Bongaigaon. Sanjiv Kishore, RED (ER-II), Sanjay Madan, ED (Lara), Milan Kumar, GM (HR), ER-II Bongaigaon, T Ravinder, GM (O&M), Ramakant Panda, GM (Maintenance), Umesh Singh, GM (FM), D Patra, GM (Operations), A.K Chawla, AGM(HR), joined and thoroughly enjoyed the programme. Bhaskar Gupta, DGM (HR) proposed the formal vote of thanks.

Dr. Anjali, president, Barwi Shikla Ladies Club, its members, union and associations, family members of the township and more than 100 participants from across NTPC thoroughly enjoyed the programme. NTPC Bongaigaon has been organizing various programmes online during this entire pandemic among children, family members and employees. The NTPC, Bongaigaon has been instrumental in promotion of Hindi activities since inception and the station has three units of 250 MW capacity with a generation capacity to 750 MW.
