Numaligarh Refinery Ltd Moves to Boost Socio-economic Development

Numaligarh: Numaligarh Refinery Ltd started many socio-economic development schemes in the neighboring area of the refinery on Friday.

Foundation was laid for developing the raw water intake Lettekujan connecting road via Fatek line with a budget of Rs 43.6 lakh for 800-meter distance. Foundation for a drinking water supply facility was also laid at Lettekujan Chariali. The water supply project will make available safe and pure drinking water to almost 200 households of the area. The water supply project will be capable of producing 250 litres of safe and pure drinking water per hour and it will be installed with a budget of Rs 5.5 lakh. Foundation of another road of the area was laid- the Lettekujan-Bishnupur road – which will be developed with a budget of Rs 25.5 lakh for 420 metres of length.

The foundations of all these three development schemes were laid by Girish Chandra Bora, Chief General Manager of Numaligarh Refinery Ltd . Lettekujan Gaon Panchayat president Sujit Bora and secretary of Lettekujan development committee, Ramlaban Kumar were also present in the programme.

Later in the day, foundation for developing the Lettekujan Panchayat and Ponka Senior Basic School connecting road was laid. The road will be developed with a budget of Rs 59 lakh for 950 metres of length.

Foundation was also laid for developing the Ouguri Hari Mandir and Ponka Panchayat connecting road with a budget of Rs 41 lakh for 600 metres of length. Foundation for a drinking water supply facility was also laid at No.1 Ponka grant. The water supply project will be installed with a budget of Rs 5.5 lakh and it will ensure availability of safe and pure drinking water to almost 200 households of the area.
