Numaligarh Tea Estate Hospital Doctor Resigns From Service

GOLAGHAT: Inhuman killing of Dr Deben Dutta of Teok Tea Estate Hospital has rocked the State and protests are going on all across the State. A doctor of Numaligarh Tea Estate Hospital has resigned from service as a mark of protest.

Assaults on doctors and health workers in tea garden areas of Assam have increased. This compelled Dr Ajoy Kotoky to resign from service. In a resignation letter addressed to the Manager of Numaligarh TE, Dr Ajoy Kotoky said he felt insecure to continue working in the TE hospital and hence he resigned from the post of Medical Officer of Numaligarh TE Hospital.
