NYK organized 'Neighbourhood youth parliament' awareness programme in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: Nehru Yuva Kendra of North Lakhimpur organized a special awareness programme under Ghilamora Block in Dhakuakhana subdivision on Monday. The awareness programme, titled as Neighbourhood Youth Parliament, was held in association with No. 1 Parghat Yuva Sangha at the No. 1 Parghat ME School premises. The event commenced with Bijay Taid, a teacher of the school, in the chair. Volunteer of the organization in Ghilamora Block, Ujjal Das explained the objective of the programme. From Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rupam Jyoti Chetia delivered his speech highlighting the importance of Neighbourhood Youth Parliament as fuel to propel the developmental activities in the rural area. In connection, he laid emphasis on how the local youths could play as a pivotal part with regard to developing their native areas by availing the benefits of the flagship schemes implemented by the governments. On the other hand, Nehru Yuva Kendra accountant Pravin Kumar laid stress on using the available contributions of science and technologies by the local youths in order to develop the rural areas.
