Obituary: Baneswar Soharia

Senior journalist Baneswar Soharia breathed his last on May 1 at his residence in ward no. 6 of Morigaon town. He was 79.

He was the correspondent for Ajir Asom from Morigaon. He retired as an assistant teacher from Haricharan Sarkar HS School, Jagi.

He had been bed-ridden for a month due to old-age ailment.

He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives. His demise has cast a pall of gloom in the district.
