Mrinali Bhuyan, a retired teacher and a resident of Sangiya Major Chuk, Jamugurihat breathed her last on Thursday at a private hospital in Guwahati. She was 62. According to information, Bhuyan suddenly felt unwell on September 8 and was admitted to a private hospital in Tezpur and was referred to Guwahati for further treatment on September 11.
But she breathed her last while undergoing treatment. She started her teaching career at Nandikeshar LP School in 1995 and joined in No. 20 Binapani LPS School and Milan Adarsha LP School and superannuated from Binapani LP School in 2011. Organizations and individuals, including Jamuguri Regional Committee of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha, Sangiya Major Yubak Sangha, Barhampur Village Development Committee, Barhampur Mahila Samiti, Binapani Puthibharal, Arun Yuva Samaj, Milan Adarsha LPS, besides others reached her residence and paid homage in front of the mortal remains of Mrinali Bhuyan. She leaves behind her husband, a son along with a host of relatives. Her untimely demise was widely mourned here.
