Obituary: Sarat Chandra Kachari
Born in 1962 to Arabinda Kachari and Lilawati Kachari, he served in various posts and retired as Subedar in 2nd Battalion of ASRF in Assam Police.
Sarat Chandra Kachari, a retired police personnel and an inhabitant of Dakhin Nalbari locality of Tangla town of the Udalguri district, breathed his last in Guwahati on February 2 due to prolonged illness.
Born in 1962 to Arabinda Kachari and Lilawati Kachari, he served in various posts and retired as Subedar in 2nd Battalion of ASRF in Assam Police. He had an accomplished and unmatched service life and retired from active services one year back. A thorough gentleman, his soft- spoken nature along with his simplicity, dedication and honesty towards his work was acknowledged by everyone he came in contact with. He leaves behind his wife Bileswari Kachari, two sons and a host of relatives.
His death was widely mourned by a number of organizations and institutions, including Tangla Media Circle, Udalguri chapter of Assam Press Correspondents Union among others.
