KOKRAJHAR: The OC of Dhaligaon PS, Prasenjit Das saved a person's life who was facing breathing problem due to COVID-19, by timely taking him to the hospital on time on Saturday evening.
Sources said that at around 8 pm, information was received from PCR Chirang that one person named Saddam Hussein, son of Samad Ali of Satipur, LPG gate, Dhaligaon was suffering from breathing problem and he asked for help on the Chirang Police helpline. After receiving the information, the OC, Dhaligaon, Inspector Prasenjit Das and his staff immediately proceeded to the spot and entered the patient's house by breaking the gate and they found that the victim was on his bed in semi-conscious condition. At that time, 108 ambulance also arrived but there was only one staff. Therefore, after wearing the PPE kit, Prasenjit Das and the 108 personnel, both somehow managed to bring the victim to Kajalgaon Hospital, Dhaligaon, Assam.
Sources said that the oxygen saturation of the patient was in 50s at that time and he was put on oxygen support.
Chirang Police Helpline actually succeeded in getting a needy patient to the hospital and OC Dhaligaon actually went beyond the call of his duty in saving the life of a patient.
