Officers must be responsive for peaceful BTC election: Bhupesh Chandra Das

BAKSA: Observer for the Mushalpur and Salbari Election district, Bhupesh Chandra Das, appointed by the Election Commission for the ensuing BTC election, appealed to zonal and sector officers to be responsive and sincere, in a meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner's office conference hall Mushalpur, Baksa.

He also asked officials to follow the COVID protocol in practice unlike the previous BTC election. This time also high percentage of voting is expected, so the Observer asked officials to be cautious. Deputy Commissioner Ranjan Sarmah said in the meeting that the entire exercise would depend upon the efficiency of zonal and sector officers. So he asked cooperation from them for the smooth conduct of the poll. Before that, Additional Deputy Commissioner DilipBothra discussed the duties and rules of zonal and sector officers in the meeting. Apart from them, circle officers Notpal Pathak and Monoj Doley were are also present in the meeting.

Moreover, another meeting was held in the same conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner of Baksa, Ranjan Sarma on the law-and-order situation for the upcoming BTC election. The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the scenario and asked all security agencies to keep vigil in their respective areas. Superintendent of Police of Baksa, Hiranya Barman, Commandant of 24th IRBN, P S Changmai, and other officers also shared their views regarding the security arrangement for the ensuing BTC election. All the members of the District Level Co-Coordination committee agreed to share their inputs to the district administration.
