KOKRAJHAR: The government officials who are engaged in election duty have started casting postal vote since Sunday in Kokrajhar. Many government officials were seen in queue to cast postal vote in counting centre at Kokrajhar Basic Training Centre on Sunday.

A senior officer of Kokrajhar in duty said all arrangements have been made for the government officials engaged in duty to cast their postal vote and collection of postal vote has began from Sunday. She said that the exact figure of postal votes would be known on Monday as many officials are yet to come. She also said that the collection of votes of age above 80 is already collected recently. As per official sources, there are 2,584 voters in Kokrajhar East, 2,539 voters in Kokrajhar West and 2,284 voters aged above 80 in Gossaigaon constituency.
