Oil India Limited organizes official language pledge-taking ceremony at Duliajan

Oil India Limited organized the official language pledge-taking ceremony on Tuesday.

DIBRUGARH: Oil India Limited organized the official language pledge-taking ceremony on Tuesday. Prasanta Borkakoti, Resident Chief Executive, OIL administered the pledge to the employees at Duliajan on Tuesday. The pledge was administered in all offices of OIL in various spheres across India.

India celebrates Hindi Divas on September 14 every year to mark adoption of Hindi as an official language of the nation on this day in 1949. The Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, for the first time this year started the pledge taking on the occasion of Hindi Divas.

OIL, as a commitment towards promoting official language Hindi in the company has taken several noteworthy steps. OIL has been celebrating the month of September every year as Rajbhasha Mahotsav with a view to inculcate the inclination towards use of official language Hindi in official work. During the Rajbhasha Mahotsav, OIL organized various creative competitions among the employees and their dependents. Hindi Diwas Rajbhasha Gyan Competition was also organized on the occasion.
