Om Prakash Dinodia College takes out voter awareness rally in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: Various academic institutions of Lakhimpur district are conducting voter awareness campaigns in view of the ensuing Assam Legislative Assembly Election—2021.
Om Prakash Dinodia College, located in the southern part of Lakhimpur, took out an awareness rally in Panigaon area on Tuesday in order to create awareness among masses about ethical voting with increased turnout in order to strengthen the democratic value. The rally was organized under the auspices National Service Scheme (NSS) unit, Legal Literacy Club and Electoral Literacy Club of the college.
Principal of the college, Dr. Suresh Kumar Dutta flagged off the rally wherein academic staff, administrative staff, students took part. He laid emphasis on creating electoral awareness in the rural areas of the district and asked the students to play a leading role in this regard. The students displayed placards with slogans. NSS unit Programme Officer, Joy Prakash Bhuyan thanked all those who participated in the rally.
